Once hired as your doula, I will meet with you 2-3 times before delivery so that I can get to know you both and make sure that I am the right doula for you. I will be available by phone at any time if you have any questions or problems that may be on your mind. I will help you be informed about the choices that are available to you once in the hospital by developing a birth plan. Once in labor, I can come to your home to help with relaxation, massage, and comfort techniques in your own surroundings until the time comes to go to the hospital.

My fee for these services can be answered by email.
Many Doctors are now writing perscriptions for doulas, as a form of pain management. This could make it much easier to have this service covered by most insurance companies, therefore seeing that you get reimbursed for this expense. |
Using my knowledge and experience, I will provide you with constant emotional support, physical comfort and communication with your health care provider to ensure you have the information needed to make informed decisions in labor. I can provide reassurance to both you and your partner that what is happening is the natural progression of birth. The most beneficial part of having a doula present is that you don't need to worry about me leaving your side. I will be present throughout your labor and delivery and will stay up to one hour after birth to help initiate breastfeeding if necessary.
As a doula, I do not perform clinical tasks, such as blood pressures, fetal assessments, vaginal exams or do anything medical. I am only present to provide for your physical comfort, emotional support, and advocacy. I won't make decisions for you. I also don't take the place of any father or coach. I would never discourage the mother from seeking pain medication or any other intervention including a Cesarean birth. I am there to support you in any decision that you make, the bottom line is a memorable birth experience that you can feel good about. |

I am located in Fort Worth Texas and will work from surrounding hospitals
